This is without a doubt the worst 42 Ive ever played. The UI is awful, there is no protection against "fat finger" errors, and the AI never makes a wrong move while your computer partner is an idiot. Seriously, he bids 32 with a 5-blank off. TWICE in the last game. Waste your money on this and you will be annoyed. You cant win, no matter how you adjust settings.

Its my trump and its 6. Philip won last hand and his turn to go 1st so he throws down double 5 and it wouldnt let me throw down 5-6 to win the hand and instead made me throw 1-5. Im confused?

I love this game. It meets the criteria I have for a worthwhile & enjoyable game experience: The rules are simple, one is able to develop conceptual understanding of play with experience, one is able to master concepts that can then be used to improve performance. Ultimately a VERY satisfying process. I would recommend Dennis Robersons Winning 42 (4th Edition) to support your learning process & speed up learning of fundamental concepts. I can not think of a single shortcoming of this game because win or lose you feel challenged & satisfied by every hand. You learn something every time!! : ))

Best one Ive found. Check out Texas Moon too. Only critique I have is you cant go doubles low on nilo. If they would set that up, itd be perfect. Still a great game though.

This is an awesome game, and the AI is usually pretty good, but my partner just went 84 with six blank as an off! We got set with six one. The bid was 30 or 31 to the AI. Usually its pretty good, and I really like this game, but man would I be smacking my partner if I could reach through the ipad.

This app is a great digital version of 42! Id love it even more if I could go doubles low on nello. Ive also noticed that the computer players never seem to bid nello or splash/plunge. It would be nice if they would to be able to practice that scenario.

The terrible AI in this app can lead to a frustrating experience. Many times your partner will play so poorly you have no chance to win. I have noticed however, the opponent AI makes major mistakes as well and can give you easy points. If the AI were improved, the game would be much more enjoyable. But at this state, it is more off putting than worth the time.

Awesome update with Game Center access! Fun game and great to play with friends and family. The AI is outstanding, and the visuals are very well done. This is the best Texas 42 app out there!

Easily the best 42 app out there. The AI opponents make consistently good plays. I highly recommend this application.

This is not the 42 scoring rules I am used to. The game I know, 27 is the minimum bid and points matter, not how many hands you win. The game is played to 208 points, not 7 hands and each hand is always played out as points matter. Furthermore, there are no "doubles" trump and the names here are different. This would have been better with a try-before-buy model, but as it is, you have to pay before realizing this games rules are different

Rule variance seems to be the main trouble with Texas 42. This app works great. I bought it to hone my skills before playing my family at Christmas. They are all hardcore 42 players and take it very serious. Its a lot of fun. But when I went to play Low, or Nello as its called on this app, there was a big difference. When my family plays, doubles are a suit of their own, but not on this app. This difference kind of ruins this app for me, as going Low is one of the funnest parts of 42 to me. I was looking forward to telling them all about it so we could play each other all year, but oh well. Other than that the rules are spot on. So be wary!

Finally a good 42 app! I love this game, and I am so happy that there is a 42 app that works like it should! This takes me back to playing at the Chicken - all you Aggies out there should know exactly what Im talking about. I do have one suggestion for the app - it would be great if there was a statistics menu that keeps track of your wins, losses, and success with certain bids. Example, how often youre successful at going 2 marks, follow me, nelo, etc. Thanks again for making such a great app!

When it gets to the point you can layover you shouldnt have to play out the rest of the game. The AI needs to be updated too, they make dumb decisions pretty regularly.

Since I first loaded Texas 42 on my iPhone and iPad, this has consistently been my #1 go to game day after day. From Austin ... Job well done!

I come back to this game every now and then, and it doesnt take but a few hands for me to recall why I stopped playing it before. Now matter how much time passes, this app is still rigged trash. Disgraceful.

Fun to play but your moron partner throws away his trumps for no reason.

I love 42 and this is the 1st game Ive seen on the iPhone that does a great job. A few items Id Like to see: - allow for nellow bids - speed up the play - allow to throw in dominoes if winning bid is guaranteed
